As division spreads among the peoples of Rhuna, the portals answer with a champion. Before rulers, heroes, and common folk alike, Alendria emerges as Regent of the Origins, carrying the hope that a fractured world might one day become whole.

For decades, Alendria travels the world, settling disputes, forging alliances, and bringing rival peoples together beneath a common vision. Under her guidance, prosperity flourishes across Rhuna, and many come to believe they are witnessing the beginning of a golden age.

During a sacred ceremony beneath a rare eclipse, the Crimson Flame of Eredal erupts across the heavens. A beam of crimson light tears across the sky before vanishing into the distant wilds beyond the gathered crowds. Though none understand what they have witnessed, Alendria alone hears a voice calling from beyond the horizon.

Troubled by visions and whispers only she can perceive, Alendria quietly departs with a small band of trusted companions. Unrecorded by history and unknown to most of the world, these friends follow her across forgotten ruins, ancient pathways, and lands untouched by civilization in search of the voice calling her onward.

Some say Alendria discovered an ancient treasure beneath Eredal. Others claim she spoke with a forgotten power older than memory itself. Whatever she encountered in those depths, she returned changed, and the secret remained with her.

For years, Alendria carries a truth she refuses to share, even with those closest to her. As suspicion grows and fear spreads among the powers of Rhuna, the Council of Sanction ultimately turns against the Regent they once celebrated. Stripped of her gifts and cast upon the shores of Meridia, she is left to die beneath a cold and indifferent sky.

"They took my crown. They took my name. They took everything they believed made me powerful. Now they'll learn how little any of it mattered."
