Before adventure begins, someone has already lived the life that brought them to its doorstep. Start with an Origin Kind, then choose a name and homeland, then discover the person behind those beginnings. This book follows those familiar choices while the My Heroes sheet keeps them together as a living story.
A Hero is more than a collection of numbers. Culture, inheritance, work, relationships, fears, and hopes give their abilities meaning. Leave room for discoveries at the table; every answer does not need to be settled before play.

Open My Heroes to begin a new Hero or continue an existing one. Choose a detail within The Story So Far to edit it. Create from Scratch begins with Origin Kind and explains its Seed automatically. Ancestry and cultural belonging remain distinct; choose Homeland before cultural background. The connected choices keep the starting build consistent.
Begin with the narrative. Abilities & Training lists the capabilities the Hero actually possesses. Hero Statistics gathers Health, Reserve, social values, equipment powers, and Wither limits. Legacy keeps Chronicles and Bonds; Adventure Journal records quests, people, places and observations. Additional Details holds the remaining reference fields and inventory in expandable lists.

Each detail has one editing location. A published view presents the same Hero as a readable chronicle; it does not create a separate character or grant advancement. Choose Edit whenever their story changes. Newly learned Pathways and abilities can be added to the existing record rather than making another Hero.

My Heroes saves edits in the current browser and device. Export JSON backups regularly and use Import JSON to carry a Hero elsewhere. Publishing the reading view does not upload the Hero as a public profile or synchronize devices. Keep backup files somewhere safe.
Adobe Hero PDFs remain an optional transition format. My Heroes is the character-sheet creation and editing experience; a PDF is not required to begin. JSON preserves written passages, current bag contents, campaign notes, and other information that may extend beyond the PDF fields.
