In My Heroes, profession names the work; professional standing records its social recognition. Both can be read and edited in the story. Their names are not interchangeable, and a custom occupation does not invent an additional Status bonus.

Professions describe the work, responsibilities, and social roles a Hero has practiced throughout their life. Some are common across Rhuna, while others emerge from particular Origins, cultures, environments, or relationships with the Threads.

A Profession’s Status Tag reflects how that role is generally regarded within the communities where it is recognized.

Status	Meaning
Common	Familiar work with little inherent authority.
Recognized	Skilled or respected work that carries credibility.
Authority	A role capable of exercising institutional, political, military, or sacred authority.
Marginal	Work associated with outsiders, danger, illegality, or social suspicion.
